Notes and updates from the help desk.

Plain-English writeups on IT, security, websites, and software for businesses on the Emerald Coast.

What the notes cover

These notes explain what changed in the tools we use, what a security or email change means for a client, and what to do about it. The help desk team writes them in plain English. A new one goes up when something changes that clients should know about.

Most notes are about one of a few things: a change in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace that affects how you sign in or share files, what this month's phishing emails look like and what our filtering does with them, what a restore from backup involves when a laptop dies, or why a website goes down and what a certificate warning means. Now and then we write about software we built for a client and the problem it fixed.

If a note applies to your business, call the help desk or open a ticket and we go through it with you. If you are not a client and want to know whether it applies to you, run the free email or website check first, then call us, which costs nothing.
